Luxury concierge in Monaco: tailored services for an increasingly demanding clientele

    -

Established in 2016, « La Conciergerie » offers customized services to tenants and owners residing in the five properties of the Michel Pastor Group. These bespoke services cater to a discerning clientele in search of comfort and tranquility, going well beyond typical hotel standards.

Whether booking a limousine, arranging in-home beauty treatments, chartering a private jet, ordering flowers, reserving a restaurant, or simply handling daily tasks, luxury concierge services have become a must-have in high-end buildings. Once exclusive to prestigious hotels, these services have now found their way into the most exclusive residences. Monaco, too, has embraced this trend of personalized services. All ultra-luxury buildings, especially in recent property developments, now feature 24/7 concierge services. One of the pioneering real estate players in the Principality to fully embrace this concept is the Michel Pastor Group, which launched a dedicated company for this purpose eight years ago, aptly named La Conciergerie.

« The equivalent of a personal assistant »

The concept is simple: « You are not at a hotel—you are at home—but you have hotel-like services, » explains Aïleen Fabre, Commercial Director of the Centre Immobilier Pastor (CIP). « The goal is to simplify our residents’ lives. We take care of everything from daily tasks to organizing exceptional events. You could say it’s the equivalent of a personal assistant. » This concierge service has selected over a hundred carefully vetted partners and offers dozens of bespoke services to meet the everyday needs of tenants and owners in the group’s five residences, which include the Monte Carlo Residence, Houston Palace, Columbia Palace, Europa Residence, and the latest addition, MoNa Residence (delivered in September 2021). The extensive range of services covers entertainment, health, wellness, transportation, home services, decor, administrative support, and language lessons. “We have selected two or three service providers per category so that residents have options, all while ensuring that the providers offered are of high quality,” adds Aïleen Fabre.

« A real demand from our residents »

Why did the Michel Pastor Group establish such an extensive system of personalized services? Quite simply, the demand was strong. “Before La Conciergerie was created, our staff in various residences noted that they received specific requests daily from our clients. It was extremely common. There was a clear need for this service. Additionally, when settling in a new country, adapting can be challenging. We wanted to assist new residents with various administrative tasks like car registration or, more simply, finding language classes for their children.” To offer a seamless, hassle-free experience for clients who prefer to avoid complications, La Conciergerie has developed a computerized system. Residents of the five properties can now book services online with just a few clicks, receive various quotes, and choose the service that best meets their needs. The real estate market in Monaco has shifted toward these offerings to cater to the demands of an increasingly sophisticated international clientele accustomed to ultra-personalized service worldwide. For Monaco’s real estate developers, the goal is also to stand out in the highly competitive luxury market.

MoNa Residence: luxury, calm, and confidentiality

Located in eastern Monaco at 1 bis rue des Giroflées, MoNa Residence is the Michel Pastor Group’s latest project. Completed in September 2021, this 22-story building, reaching a height of 86 meters, houses approximately sixty apartments, primarily for rental. Mostly three-bedroom units, there are also several four- and five-bedroom units. At the top of the building, two triplex penthouses have been designed, each with private gardens and a pool, offering a 360° view of Monaco, Cap-Martin, and even Mont-Agel. The residence entrance, designed by Ora-ïto and sculptor Daniel Buren, captivates with geometric forms, featuring 2,000 marble pieces assembled over twelve weeks by skilled artisans. On-site amenities include a 30-seat restaurant open until 10:30 p.m., accessible to the public by reservation, allowing residents to dine in or enjoy room service. Additional facilities include a private cinema, a meeting room, a kids’ playroom, and a wellness area equipped with a gym (with a cold plunge, hammam, and sauna) as well as two pools (indoor and outdoor). Despite its proximity to Boulevard d’Italie, MoNa Residence surprises with its calm, offering an ideal setting for discreet business lunches. “The Group’s watchword is confidentiality,” notes Aïleen Fabre. Environmentally, a geothermal loop provides 100% of the building’s heating and cooling through active slabs, and this system also supplies hot water. In addition, 70 m² of solar panels on the roof produce 46% of the hot water requirements. The project’s designers include architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte and Monaco-based Rainier Boisson, with landscape design by the French landscaper Jean Mus.

    Renovations underway in three residences

In the past, clients in Monaco would often settle for apartments with outdated features, but that’s no longer the case. The clientele, now younger and spending considerable sums to live in Monaco, is no longer interested in accommodations from the 1970s or 1980s. As a result, more and more owners and developers in Monaco have begun renovations to modernize the Principality’s real estate offerings. The Michel Pastor Group has also chosen this path and is currently renovating three of its residences. “We initiated a renovation program more than 10 years ago. We started with the Columbia Palace apartments. This campaign takes time because we wait for leases to end before starting renovations to minimize disruptions for our tenants. Striking that balance is not easy,” says Aïleen Fabre. Europa Residence has also undergone renovations, particularly in the lobby area. At Columbia Palace, Houston Palace, and Europa Residence, the group has also started work to add fitness facilities for residents.
